The Hudson County Genealogical Society Receives 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status

JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Hudson County Genealogical Society, the only genealogy and family history group focused entirely on the study of Hudson County New Jersey, is pleased to announce that on October 20, 2008 it received notification of the acceptance of its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service.

Old Bergen Cemetery and Speer Cemetery Cleanup

JERSEY CITY, NJ. — On Saturday, June 7, volunteers will once again work on a clean up of two of the oldest cemeteries in Hudson County, the Old Bergen Cemetery and the Speer Cemetery. Volunteers are meeting at the Old Bergen Cemetery on Bergen Avenue at 9:00 A.M. If possible, please come to help with this work.
