The Hudson County Genealogical Society Holds Records Seminar at Historic Brennan Courthouse

MARCH 31, 2008 – JERSEY CITY, NJ. — On Saturday, April 12, 2008, the Hudson County Genealogical Society, in co-operation with the Hudson County Office of Cultural Affairs and Tourism, will host “Unlocking County Genealogical Records,” in the Theodore Conrad rotunda of the William Brennan Courthouse, 583 Newark Avenue, Jersey City at 11 a.m. Speakers will include Hudson County Surrogate Donald W. DeLeo, County Clerk Barbara A. Netchert, and Sidney King, Division of Archives and Record Management.

“It’s only fitting that our seminar on county records be held in this historic building, where Supreme Court Justice William Brennan once sat on the Superior Court bench,” said Bob Murgittroyd, HCGS president.

Free parking is available and light refreshments will be served. This is also a regular meeting of the HCGS.
