The Hudson County Genealogical Society at the 2008 Hoboken Art & Music Festival

APRIL 2, 2008 – JERSEY CITY, NJ. — The Hudson County Genealogical Society will have a table at the upcoming Hoboken Art & Music Festival on Sunday, May 4 from 11am to 6pm. This event will be HCGS's biggest exposure to the public this year.

The Hoboken Festival is one of the largest outdoor events in Hudson County each year and is also scheduled to feature a performance by Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees. Well over 25,000 people will pass the HCGS table giving us a unique opportunity to spread the word about our mission, projects and events.

About the Hudson County Genealogical Society

The Hudson County Genealogical Society, a 501 (c)(3) New Jersey Non Profit Corporation, was formed in October 2007 to promote the study of genealogy and the history of Hudson County. The goal of the society is to collect, preserve and index this information in cooperation with local libraries and internet resources, to encourage adherence to the highest standards of research and documentation, to offer educational programs such as lectures, seminars and workshops and to promote the observance of Family History month.
