The Hudson County Genealogical Society Launches a Public Message Forum on Its Web Site

JUNE 1, 2008 – JERSEY CITY, NJ. — The Hudson County Genealogical Society announces the launch of the HCGS Public Message Forums on its Web site at http://www.hudsoncountynjgenealogy.org

This public forum was created by The Hudson County Genealogical Society for those researching their ancestors in Hudson County New Jersey or anyone with an interest in Hudson County history.

Members of the HCGS have many resources available to them through the Society to help research their ancestors but until now there was no place to capture the inquiries and interest of the general public who visits the site. The threaded message board reached from a button on the home page will help facilitate discussion for HCGS members and non-members alike. Please visit the HCGS Public Message Forums and start talking genealogy!

About the Hudson County Genealogical Society

The Hudson County Genealogical Society, a 501 (c)(3) New Jersey Non Profit Corporation, was formed in October 2007 to promote the study of genealogy and the history of Hudson County. The goal of the society is to collect, preserve and index this information in cooperation with local libraries and internet resources, to encourage adherence to the highest standards of research and documentation, to offer educational programs such as lectures, seminars and workshops and to promote the observance of Family History month.
